十屆全國政協委員。曾任中國駐加拿大使館商務官員，中國機械進出口總公司總經理，中國第三任復關／入世談判代表團團長、首席談判代表。1988年6月起任對外貿易經濟合作部部長助理、副部長。 1996年4月任華潤〔集團〕有限公司董事長。2005年始任中國世界貿易組織研究會會長，2011年任中國世界貿易組織研究會終身榮譽顧問。

 

　　Mr. Gu Yongjiang, served as Member of the Tenth National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Commercial Affairs Officer of Chinese Embassy to Canada, General-manager of China National Machinery and Equipment I/E Corporation. In 1988, he began to act as the Assistant Minister, the Vice Minister of Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of China (MOFTEC). In 1996, he was inaugurated as the Board Chairman of China Resources (Holdings) Co., Ltd.
